But there is a problem. The credit repair company will be removing some money from the account for administrative fees while creditors are kept waiting for the fund. This leads to increasing interest on your debts and in some cases, the creditors may start legal action against the debtor.

4) Applying high pressure tactics on you

The sales staffs at the credit repair companies may try to hard sell you their service including high-pressure tactics on you. They are probably not interested to hear you problem and may want you to sign a contract you have not read. In such case, you should walk away quickly.

5) Promise you instant or fast or instant credit repair

Some companies will make bold claim they can repair your credit fast regardless of your credit condition. One common tactic they employ is to dispute every negative record in your credit report. But the truth is you cannot remove true and accurate information from your credit report.

The reason why they employ this tactics is to create backlog for the credit bureaus and hope that the backlog of disputes will cause the credit bureau to automatically remove the negative items from your report. The credit bureaus are legally required to remove disputed items it has not investigated within 30 days.
